Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Spokane, WA 99204

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Spokane, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend required. 13-week assignment with potential for extension.

Highlights:

• Work in a 629-bed short-term acute care teaching facility with Level II Trauma and Pediatric Trauma Center designations
• 42-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown unit with 1:3-4 patient ratios
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Free parking and 12-hour orientation provided
• Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations including cardiac, post-surgical, and traditional medical-surgical patients
• Candidates may select either Thanksgiving or Christmas off (one holiday choice available)

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or Stepdown nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Critical requirement: Demonstrated experience managing and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with patient ratios of 4-5 patients preferred
• Willingness to float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical floors when overstaffed
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
