Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Spokane, WA 99204

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Spokane, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), every other weekend required. 13-week assignment with potential for 48-hour work weeks.

• Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown position at a 629-bed Level II Trauma Center and teaching facility
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with comprehensive orientation and training provided

• Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations including cardiac, post-procedure, and medical-surgical patients
• Flexible holiday scheduling – choose either Thanksgiving or Christmas off

Requirements:

• Active Washington or Compact RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or Stepdown nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 4-5 patients
• Critical requirement: Demonstrated ability to manage, titrate, and administer cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care, chest tubes, and post-cardiac procedure care
• Willingness to float to telemetry or medical-surgical units when needed
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
