Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring cardiac drip titration experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Short term acute care Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital setting
• PCU/Stepdown unit with patient ratios of 1:4-5
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• May float to Telemetry or Med-Surg floors if overstaffed, with travelers floated first
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/stepdown nursing experience required
• Cardiac drip titration and management experience required (hard requirement)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with respiratory care, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and telemetry preferred
• Charge nurse and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to cardiac telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patients
• Responsibilities may include respiratory management, IV therapy, cardiac drip titration, and telemetry monitoring
• May float between sister facilities within the state as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Candidates may select one of Thanksgiving or Christmas off, not both
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former Providence permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Scrub color for RNs is not restricted to a specific color
• No parking fees at this facility
