Experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Spokane, Washington. Join a collaborative teaching-hospital team in a fast-paced stepdown / telemetry environment, caring for adult and geriatric patients using Epic.

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
• Float Requirement: May float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units when needed

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of PCU, stepdown, telemetry, or similar acute care nursing experience required
• Must be able to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Active Registered Nurse license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic experience required
• Experience with cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia management preferred
• Ability to work with adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity hospital setting
• Must be comfortable with occasional floating between PCU, Telemetry, and Med-Surg units
• Must be available to work a schedule that includes holidays and every-other-weekend coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for PCU and stepdown patients with cardiac and medical-surgical needs
• Monitor, titrate, and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips per unit standards
• Assess patients with conditions such as CHF, Afib with RVR, chest pain, and post-cardiac procedures
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Administer medications, monitor treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe outcomes
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical communication across disciplines
• Support patients and families while promoting a safe, efficient, and compassionate care environment
• Adapt to float assignments as needed to support hospital unit coverage
