Overview

We are seeking a dedicated PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse to support complex cardiac patients in a supportive inpatient environment. The ideal candidate has strong clinical judgment, experience with telemetry and cardiac drips, and the ability to work confidently in a progressive care unit. Epic experience is required, and the role includes floating to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units when needed.

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Current Registered Nurse license
• Compact license must be in hand at submission, if applicable
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must be able to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Strong PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry nursing background preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and acute cardiac patients
• Must be comfortable working nights and every other weekend
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced acute-care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU/Stepdown patients with cardiac and medical-surgical needs
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition promptly and effectively
• Titrate and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips as clinically indicated
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, Afib RVR, chest pain, post-cardiac cath, and post-MI
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and support patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, coordinated patient care
• Float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units when needed based on staffing
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Maintain a patient-focused approach while delivering safe, evidence-based care
