Overview

We are seeking an experienced PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse with strong cardiac drip experience to provide high-quality patient care in a well-supported acute care environment. This travel RN role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a team-oriented setting and is comfortable floating to related units as needed.

Job Details

• Location: Spokane, WA 99204
• Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Setting: Progressive Care Unit / PCU / Stepdown
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Yes, may float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratio: 1:4-5

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent PCU, stepdown, telemetry, or comparable acute care RN experience
• Current Registered Nurse license in the applicable state or compact RN license in hand at submission
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients in an acute care hospital setting
• Comfortable floating between related inpatient units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to PCU and stepdown patients
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in cardiac and respiratory status
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips according to patient needs and clinical protocols
• Administer medications, manage telemetry, and support patients with complex diagnoses
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care team members
• Float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical units when census requires additional support
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Help support a safe, efficient, and team-focused patient care environment
