Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a PCU/Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of experience, prior travel experience, and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Floating to a different floor or a sister campus may be required
• Altera EMR experience preferred but not required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license, currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Telemetry RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 150 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Deliver individualized nursing care to patients using the nursing process, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve desired patient outcomes
• The facility conducts its own drug screening upon arrival, which includes marijuana — a positive result is an automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid all substances that could produce a positive result, including CBD products
• Candidates must be available to complete required health/lab items within 72 hours of accepting an offer
• Previous permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Orientation includes non-billable online modules averaging 6–8 hours in length
