Responsibilities
Perform pediatric cardiovascular sonography and related imaging with quality and safety standards.
Acquire, review, and interpret vascular and cardiac ultrasound data for accurate diagnosis.
Document exams precisely, manage workflow metrics, and track time-to-delivery of results.
Adhere to standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cardiologists and pediatric teams to determine imaging needs and plan
Maintain patient-centric workflow, ensuring comfort, privacy, and expedited throughput.
Maintain equipment, perform routine calibration, and report malfunctions promptly.
Demonstrate professional growth through ongoing learning, certifications, and specialty training.
Educate families about procedures, preparation, and post-imaging care as needed.
Contribute to pipeline and territory planning by tracking referrals and imaging demand.
Support on-site team with flexible scheduling to meet patient and department needs.
Ensure accurate coding and billing alignment for performed imaging procedures.
Experience/Qualifications
Pediatric cardiovascular sonography certification and current ARDMS or equivalent credential.
Proficient in pediatric echocardiography imaging, data acquisition and interpretation.
Ability to document exams accurately and deliver timely results to cardiology teams.
Compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and hospital policies.
Strong understanding of pediatric cardiac anatomy and common congenital anomalies.
Team collaboration with cardiologists and pediatric teams; ability to plan imaging needs.
Experience with workflow management, time-to-delivery metrics, and throughput optimization.
Effective communication with families; provide patient and family education as needed.
Equipment maintenance, calibration, and prompt reporting of malfunctions.
Knowledge of coding and billing alignment for imaging procedures; accurate documentation for claims.
