Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience with night shift availability across multiple pediatric units.

Details

• Float pool position rotating across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Night shift schedule (7p–7a)
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license (pending VA license will be accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending; certification has an out-of-pocket cost of $185)
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required
• Comfort and proficiency across pediatric care settings required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Peds PACU experience is highly preferred
• Candidates with previous NICU/PICU float pool experience are strongly encouraged to apply
• Floating is required per facility float pool policy across all covered pediatric units
• Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per 13-week contract; no RTO will be approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Every other holiday coverage is required
• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Candidates must allow at least 12 months to pass before returning to this facility as a traveler
