We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of Pediatric CVOR experience and be equipped to provide exceptional care to a diverse patient population encompassing neonates to adult-sized patients.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in cardiothoracic surgeries including cases such as Tetralogy of Fallot, transposition of great vessels, open heart valve repairs, and more.
Scrub and circulate in the Operating Room, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to manage patients with congenital anomalies and developmental delays.
Utilize IV start skills, arterial line placement, and other critical nursing skills.
Support the general OR when CVOR is not busy, providing assistance as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of Pediatric CVOR experience; first-time travelers considered with over 5 years of experience.
Current BLS and PALS certifications are required.
CNOR certification is preferred.
Valid RN license in Washington State or a compact RN license.
Work Environment
Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.
Level IV NICU on site.
Primary patient demographics include neonates through 18 years of age, with potential cases in adult-sized patients.
Shift Details
Shift times: 8-hour shifts from 0630 to 1530 or 12-hour shifts from 0645 to 1915.
Weekend rotation involves being on call only, with 1 call shift per week and 2 weekends in a 6-week period.
Response time for call shifts is within 30 minutes.
