Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 7–10 years of cardiac ultrasound experience, including independent pediatric and congenital echocardiography, for a pediatric cardiology setting.

Details

  • Pediatric cardiology setting specializing in congenital and fetal echocardiography
  • Patient population includes pediatric and fetal cardiac cases
  • Performs complex congenital heart and fetal echocardiograms independently
  • Assists with special and invasive cardiac procedures
  • 5x8-hour day shifts, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • On-call coverage required Monday through Sunday on a rotating 3-week schedule
  • May be required to travel between cardiology clinic locations for fetal imaging coverage

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of cardiac clinical ultrasound experience
  • Experience independently performing pediatric and congenital echocardiograms
  • RDCS or RCS credential, or registry eligibility through ARDMS or CCI
  • Current AHA BLS certification
  • Associate Degree in Allied Health or related field, completion of a 2–4 year Diagnostic Ultrasound program, or 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Ability to work effectively in high-acuity environments
  • Two professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Analyze imaging data and present findings to cardiologists and physicians
  • Collaborate with cardiologists regarding fetal echocardiogram findings and educate patients and families about procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining echocardiography equipment and supporting quality improvement initiatives
  • ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography (FE) credential preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of fetal echocardiography experience preferred
  • All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required
