Job Summary:
Pediatric Floor Nurse position in Seattle, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care to neonates, adolescents, infants, and pediatric patients, with a daily census of approximately 12 patients. The position offers a 12-hour shift schedule, with floating to NICU or units within the skill set. The assignment begins on 09/14/2026, and orientation is provided to ensure clinical readiness.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/14/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS and PALS certifications. No minimum years of experience required; candidates with any experience are encouraged to apply.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, at least 2 years of experience, and familiarity with EPIC electronic documentation system.
- Patient Ratios: 4 patients per nurse during days, nights, and weekends.
- Additional Responsibilities: Administration of blood and blood products, management of seizure disorders, pediatric neuro, ortho, and other specialized procedures as detailed in the unit description.
- Unit Details: The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams. Care is provided to patients with diagnoses including respiratory, GI, neurology, pre/post, and endocrine conditions.
- Special Equipment: No specific equipment details provided.
- References: Two references covering at least one year (six months for CNAs) within the last three years are required prior to starting.
- Module Completion: Completion of non-billable modules, averaging 16 hours, is required before start and annually thereafter, with self-reporting in Workramp transcripts.
