The role may include float assignments to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to care for step-down patients and possibly support Labor and Delivery Recovery Post-Partum unit for healthy newborns. Responsibilities also encompass blood transfusion administration, nasogastric tube placement, and IV placement.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Pediatric Nurse, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), 0.0 years of experience, Pediatric specialty, location, and education requirements as specified.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chest tube maintenance, use of Baxter Pumps, Medfusion Pumps, Medtronic Vital Sync Remote Surveillance System, Meditech documentation, and pediatric-specific skills.
• Additional Information: Staff tenure at the facility ranges from 18 to 28 years. The unit features advanced equipment such as portable ultrasound for peripheral intravenous (PIV) placement, portable pulse oximeters, and new patient whiteboards. The environment emphasizes pediatric-specific policies, dress code of navy blue scrubs, and involves working every other weekend.
