Job Summary Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric Floor Oakland, CA. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in an inpatient setting. The RN will deliver compassionate patient support, follow established protocols, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care outcomes.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: California RN license in hand, BSN degree, 0 years of experience, knowledge of pediatric patient care, charting experience with Epic electronic medical record system.
Preferred Qualifications: Level I Trauma Center experience, community hospital experience, inpatient pediatric PACU experience, patient ratio experience.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Skills: Airway assessment, outpatient and inpatient care, central line care and management, conscious sedation, discharge instructions, extubation, follow-up phone calls, management of pediatric patients, medication reconciliation, monitored anesthesia care, pain management, PICC line care and management, placement of oral/nasal airways, pre-admission testing, pre-op education, starting and maintaining IVs.
Unit Details: Recovery in Radiology department for patients post-procedure involving sedation or anesthesia. Patients include adolescents, infants, and pediatric populations. Daily census is approximately 6 patients across 2 rooms with 2 beds.
Additional Information: Special MRI safety training will be provided; resources may be reassigned to different departments or facilities within a 75+ mile radius. RTO requests require prior approval; booked start dates may be adjusted with permission.
Travel Compliance & Submittal: All RTO disclosures must be included at the time of submittal. A minimum of two references from the most recent employer are required.
