Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, requiring at least one year of nursing experience, AHA certifications, and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Pediatric ICU (PICU)
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• CVICU and NICU experience is preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience is required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no other issuing bodies accepted
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN from a board-approved program preferred
• Level 1 experience required
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, monitors physiological data, and intervenes as necessary
• Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders
• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
• Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract (maximum of 26 consecutive weeks including extensions)
