Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring night shift availability and at least one year of nursing experience.
Details
- Position is located in a Pediatric ICU (PICU) within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)
- CVICU and NICU experience is preferred
- Level 1 trauma experience is required
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association are required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, monitoring and responding to physiological changes, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Involves patient and family education regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior contracts are limited to one extension, for a maximum of 26 weeks total)
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) must be completed promptly and by the stated deadline — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
