Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring PALS certification and at least one year of relevant nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• CVICU and NICU experience preferred
• Level 1 trauma center experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or multistate compact eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to pediatric ICU patients with a range of health conditions from simple to complex
• Administer medications, monitor IV infusions, and manage blood product administration
• Collaborate with physicians on diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Communicate care plans and discharge information with patients and families
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks unless otherwise agreed upon, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding must begin immediately upon offer
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer due to compliance requirements
