Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, requiring at least one year of RN experience, AHA-issued BLS and PALS certifications, and Level 1 ICU experience.

Details

• Pediatric ICU (PICU) in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Level 1 ICU experience is required for this unit
• CVICU and NICU experience are preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certs only
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Level 1 ICU experience required
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates
• Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to pediatric ICU patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Responsible for documenting patient responses to interventions and medical treatments, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborates with physicians, delegates tasks to support staff, and communicates care plans with patients and families
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may work a maximum of 26 weeks (including one extension) before requiring a 6-month separation period before being eligible for another contract
