Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring PALS certification and prior Level 1 ICU experience.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• CVICU and NICU experience preferred
• Level 1 trauma center experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Effective communication and organizational skills

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to a variety of pediatric ICU patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborate with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicate care plans and discharge information with patients and families
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding must begin immediately upon offer
• Returning travelers may extend once up to a total of 26 weeks, requiring a 6-month break before reapplying
