Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Pediatrics in Humble, Texas. This position involves planning, evaluating, and implementing developmentally appropriate occupational therapy treatment programs for patients from birth through adulthood. The role includes conducting patient evaluations, developing individualized plans of care, and collaborating with patients and families to set measurable goals. The therapist will manage their schedule effectively to meet departmental productivity standards and participate in interdisciplinary team communication to ensure high-quality patient care.
Job Details:
- Shift: Either Monday through Thursday with 10-hour days from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM or Monday through Thursday with 5-8 hour shifts from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, or Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy; two (2) years of pediatric, women's health, orthopedics, or sports medicine clinical experience OR one (1) year of residency in these specialties; minimum of 2 years experience working with children ages birth to 21 with neuromotor diagnoses including but not limited to Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Brachial Plexus, Down Syndrome, genetic diagnoses, and developmental delay; clinical advancement candidate must have been rated as exceptional or consistently exceptional on previous performance appraisals; ability to develop and follow therapy plans independently; excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with basic office equipment and PC systems.
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and understanding of rehabilitative care for patients with acute and chronic conditions; demonstration of professional competencies in pediatric or sports medicine areas; experience with feeding and infant therapy is desirable but not required.
- Specific Details: The role requires a valid license or certification in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatric care, updating clinical knowledge based on current best practices, and the ability to analyze clinical situations automatically while applying clinical rules and principles effectively; excellent interpersonal skills to support collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Schedule: The work schedule will be either Monday through Thursday with 10-hour days from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM or Monday through Thursday with 8-hour shifts from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, or Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
