Job Summary Operating Room Pediatrics Only (OR PEDS) in Madison, WI. This position involves providing specialized pediatric perioperative care within a pediatric surgical unit. The role requires experience with pediatric surgical procedures, anesthesia support, and the ability to handle complex cases in a fast-paced environment. The schedule consists of 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, beginning on 08/24/2026.
Job Details
Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, with on-call responsibilities including one night per week, every 6-8 weekends, and holidays as operationally needed.
Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license, two years of recent acute care experience within the last three years in the relevant specialty, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), experience with pediatric perioperative procedures and advanced surgical skills as listed in the requirements.
Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric trauma experience, pediatric transplant experience, Epic electronic charting system experience, previous experience in pediatric operating rooms or ambulatory surgery settings.
Travel & Certification Requirements: Minimum of two years recent inpatient RN experience in pediatric surgical or perioperative care. Successful pass of a telemetry exam with criteria met in two attempts, including identification of lethal rhythms and heart block questions.
Additional Information: The candidate must be comfortable floating as needed. Pass/Fail testing with strict criteria applies, and the telemetry exam is required prior to start. Locals are not accepted; candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
