Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for a Pediatric OR position requiring Level I trauma experience and an active RN license or multistate compact license.

Details

• Pediatric Operating Room (OR) setting within an acute hospital environment
• Perioperative circulator role supporting pediatric surgical procedures
• Days shift, 12-hour shifts, Friday-Saturday-Sunday from 0630-1900
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute operating room environment
• One year of Level I trauma experience as a Perioperative Circulator in Pediatrics required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

• Plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
• Provide direct and indirect professional nursing care within the operating room
• Perform ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of patient care using the nursing process
• Individualize patient care based on health status, age, and type of surgery or procedure
• Work collaboratively as part of a specialized surgical team
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying for another contract
