Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric OR position requiring a CA license, BLS, PALS, and prior Pediatric General OR experience.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric OR unit of a children's hospital setting
- Variable day shifts (3x12 hours), starting either 6:45am or 8:45pm, with schedules rotated weekly based on department need
- Monday through Friday schedule with occasional weekends required
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed, within a 75+ mile radius
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license in hand required
- BSN required
- Current certifications: BLS and PALS (CNOR preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
- Required experience in Pediatric General OR
- Preferred experience in Ambulatory OR, CVOR, General OR, Pediatric CVOR, and Trauma
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Trauma Level I experience required (Trauma Level II preferred)
- Epic charting experience required
- Two references from most recent employer required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care within a pediatric operating room setting supporting a wide range of surgical specialties
- Work as part of a surgical team in a teaching hospital environment
- Any prior employment history with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for a rehire eligibility check
- All requested RTO must be disclosed and approved by the manager at time of offer, with no additional requests accepted mid-contract and no RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
- Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate as traveling candidates
- Travel pairs are allowed but generally will not be placed on the same unit, and married couples may not work together on the same unit
