Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Circulator for a Pediatric Operating Room position requiring prior pediatric OR experience and TN or compact licensure.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a pediatric hospital
• Serves pediatric surgical patient population as an OR Circulator
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 0645-1515
• On-call responsibilities required, with details to be discussed during interview
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• May float between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius, though cross-campus floating is rare

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact license compliant with NLC guidelines) required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required with prior travel experience, or 3 years of OR experience if no travel experience
• Pediatric OR experience required
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers not accepted
• BSN required for this position
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Serve as an RN Circulator supporting pediatric surgical procedures in the OR
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates within this radius are not considered
• Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Former travelers who completed a full-year assignment must wait 1 full year before returning
• Facility maintains strict compliance requirements for all candidate submissions
