Job Summary:
Pediatric Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position in Portland, Oregon. This position involves providing care for pediatric patients in a short-term acute care setting, with a focus on preoperative, postoperative, and recovery phases. The role requires flexibility to float between units as needed to meet patient care demands.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 12 hours shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience in pediatric floors or applicable setting; current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; active license required; minimum one year of recent experience; charting experience in Epic system required
- Certifications: ACLS*, BLS, PALS
- Special Requirements: Pediatric PACU experience required; must have a vehicle for this assignment
- Schedule: The shift is days, 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Float: Float rotation may be required within the hospital or to nearby facilities based on skill sets
- Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Pediatrics
- Additional Unit Information: The unit is a dedicated pediatric surgery department in an acute care setting caring for outpatient and inpatient pediatric surgical patients undergoing procedures across various specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, urology, plastics, dental, oral maxillofacial, endoscopy, ophthalmology, and NICU.
- Interdisciplinary Support: Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation
- Compliance: Candidates must provide two references covering one year within the last three years; must include responses regarding prior experience at facilities within a 50-mile radius; and adhere to other client policies regarding background checks and RTO restrictions.
