Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Miami, FL. This position involves providing treatment, care, and evaluation for pediatric patients with respiratory diseases utilizing advanced technology and medication delivery. The role requires a team-oriented approach in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapist registration; current acute care hospital experience in a pediatric or neonatal intensive care unit for at least 2 years; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system; previous NICU/PICU experience is highly desirable.
- Additional Information: The unit staffing includes a director, manager, supervisor/charge therapist per shift, and regular staff. It is equipped with high-flow devices, ventilators, nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, and Heliox. Responsibilities include direct patient care, treatment planning, and collaborative multidisciplinary patient management.
