Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Savannah, GA. This position involves providing specialized respiratory support and management for neonatal and pediatric patients in a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team and the ability to operate advanced ventilation equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) certification, graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program, current license to practice as an RT, and at least 1 year of neonatal or pediatric critical care experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing patients on high-frequency ventilation, surfactant administration, and inhaled nitric oxide therapy.
• Additional Information: Candidate must be proficient in independently admitting and managing vented patients in a Level IV neonatal/NICU. Responsibilities include setting up and managing invasive and non-invasive ventilation devices such as Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), high-flow therapy, and managing inhaled nitric oxide. The ability to attend high-risk deliveries and manage high-frequency ventilation (High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation and High-Frequency Jet Ventilation) is essential. Certifications required include Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Dress code: Hunter Green.
