Job Summary: Respiratory Therapist (RT) specialization in Pediatric (PEDS) located in Miami, Florida. This position involves providing respiratory treatment, care, and evaluation for pediatric patients in a tertiary care facilitys NICU and PICU units. The role requires a team-oriented approach with a focus on patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); 2 years of current acute care hospital respiratory therapy experience; location requirement in Miami, Florida.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with previous Meditech experience and advanced skills in NICU/PICU procedures are considered first.
Additional Information: The respiratory therapists will provide treatments using advanced technologies such as high flow devices, Bunnell, Servo s, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and regular nebulizers. The unit staffing includes leadership with a director, manager, supervisor/charge therapist per shift, and regular staff. The team cares for critically ill pediatric patients in a Level 3 NICU and PICU setting, supporting a multidisciplinary, patient-focused approach.
