Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) for a healthcare provider in Cleveland, Ohio, is responsible for delivering comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients. This position involves evaluating patient needs, administering treatments, monitoring equipment, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes during nights shifts, with a focus on quality patient care in a hospital setting.

Job Details

  • Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) certification, Pediatric specialty certification (if applicable), and Ohio state licensure; a minimum of 2 years of experience providing respiratory therapy; valid drivers license if transport is required; required to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric patients, familiarity with electronic fetal heart Monitoring (EFM), and proficiency in advanced airway management applications
  • Additional Information: Provides intensive respiratory care, including ventilatory support, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, pulmonary function testing, and assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement. Performs arterial puncture, monitors ventilatory equipment, and participates in emergency procedures according to BLS and ACLS guidelines. Maintains detailed documentation of treatments, patient responses, and communicates effectively during shift transitions. Ensures equipment is properly operated and maintained, and collaborates closely with physicians to assess treatment efficacy.
