Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered specializing in Pediatric (RT PEDS) in Peoria, Illinois. This critical care position involves providing respiratory treatments to general medical, intermediate, and intensive care patients, including neonates, with a focus on pediatric care. The role offers night shifts and requires working in a dynamic, well-supported environment with experienced team leads and 24/7 physician coverage.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 06:30 PM to 07:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and every other holiday.
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that application has been initiated; BLS (AHA); Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC; at least 2 years of experience in a large (300+ beds) critical care facility.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric respiratory care preferred.
- Float: No floating in respiratory therapy.
- Additional Information: RTs will care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients using Vents (Servo U, Servo i, LTV), Bipap, Cpap (ResMed S9), and high-flow (Fisher Paykel). First 12 hours include EPIC training, vent review, IPV, and specialty item review, followed by shifts with a preceptor and then independently. Scrubs are to be worn in any color; scrubs are not provided. No call or standby required; there is no response time for emergencies.
