Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Detroit, Michigan. This position involves providing quality pediatric respiratory care, including intensive patient assessments, treatment administration, and patient education. The role requires working nights in a healthcare facility and delivering comprehensive respiratory support to pediatric patients.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapist license with at least 1 year of experience as a respiratory therapist; ability to perform routine and advanced respiratory procedures; proficiency with ventilatory equipment, arterial puncture, chest x-ray review, EKG, pulmonary function tests, and emergency procedures; current certification in BLS and ACLS; additional certifications or training preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric respiratory care experience; ability to perform procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care; strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Additional Information: This position involves performing invasive and non-invasive respiratory therapies, operating ventilatory and monitoring equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation of treatments and patient responses. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with laboratory testing policies, emergency response protocols, and equipment maintenance.
