Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Sonographer with 1+ year of pediatric sonography experience and ECMO procedure knowledge.

Details

• Hospital-based pediatric sonography position covering NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU
• 4 scanners available for use
• Performs echocardiographic studies spanning fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography
• Uses Philips ultrasound equipment
• EMR/PACS systems include Epic and PACS Fuji CV Synapse
• Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• 20-week assignment length

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric sonography required
• BLS and ARDMS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred
• Fetal echo experience encouraged
• Adult echo experience a plus
• Must be knowledgeable and experienced with ECMO procedures, including assisting with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement
• Must have extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include recognizing and triaging emergent situations
• Provides written communication to cardiologists regarding findings
• Responsible for maintenance of equipment
• Handles logging and billing of procedures
• Facility orientation lasts 1-2 weeks
• Caribbean blue scrubs required
