Job Details

• Qualifications: BLS certification, CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology), California SLP license in hand, and at least 2 years of experience in healthcare, including hospital and pediatric outpatient settings.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Additional Qualifications: Experience with acute care, community hospital, pediatric outpatient, and pediatric rehabilitation facilities. Knowledge of assessment tools like CELF, PLS-4, Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale, and ability to conduct Modified Barium Swallow Studies. Familiarity with communication devices, modified diet modifications, and handling patients with a range of developmental and neurological disorders.
• Responsibilities: Conducting swallow evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, utilizing alternative communication devices, and providing patient and family education. May perform bedside assessments, oral motor exams, and modify diets as necessary.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with children's hospital settings, PICU, and trauma level II units. Knowledge of electronic charting systems such as Epic.
• Additional Information: The role involves interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. The position starts on 11/02/2026, with an end date of 03/08/2027.
