Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatrics RN Nurse Navigator requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and at least 2 years of orthopedics and pediatrics experience.

Details

• Nurse Navigator role in an academic teaching hospital setting
• Serves orthopedics and pediatrics patient populations
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• Uses Epic charting system
• Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of orthopedics and pediatrics nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skills in applying splints, assessing fractures/dislocations, sprains/strains, and conducting patient assessments (height/weight, pain, health history)

Additional Information

• Coordinates patient care and navigation for orthopedics and pediatrics cases
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review
• Two professional references from the most recent employer required for consideration
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager; no time off permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• No additional time off requests accepted once the contract begins
