Pediatric Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience
• Pediatric nursing or pediatric patient care experience strongly preferred
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate care during overnight nursing shifts
• Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Pediatric RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in accordance with established standards and individualized care plans
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor clinical conditions, and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Support children and families through patient education, clear communication, and compassionate pediatric nursing care
• Document patient care, nursing interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with providers and other healthcare professionals to promote positive patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and family-centered care environment
