**Exciting Opportunity: Seasonal Pediatric RN at Rocky Mountain Children's Hospital!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information: Peds Step Down (643)** - **Location:** 2001 N High St, Denver, CO 80205, 4th Floor - **Number of Beds:** 36 - all private rooms with parent sleeping accommodations - **Number of Staff:** 60 - **Type of Staff:** - **Day Shift:** 1 charge (patient free), 1-3 PCTs (CNA’s), occasionally a Clinical Nurse Coordinator as extra resource (typically 4 days a week) - **Night Shift:** 1 charge (patient free), 1-2 PCT’s, occasionally a Clinical Nurse Coordinator as resource (typically twice a week or as staffing allows) - **Patient Ratios:** - Mixed care - step down patients staffed 1:3 - Basic care patients staffed 1:4 - **Type of Equipment:** Phillips Monitors - **EMR:** Meditech - **Typical Hiring Profile**: - **Skill Set Most Recruited For:** - **Must Have:** - Minimum 1-year current Pediatric RN experience - BLS & NRP certifications - Comfortable with high flow oxygen, spinal fusion, chest tubes - **Preferred:** - Prior Meditech experience - **Typical Procedures Performed:** - NGTs, Foleys, TP Tubes, PIVs, phlebotomy - Rarely, LPs may occur - **Best Personality Fit:** - Fast-paced and dynamic environment - Willingness to ask for help and support team members - A fun, collaborative team atmosphere - **Unit Guidelines/Policies:** - Free on-site parking with direct bridge access to department - New travelers will not be placed on day shift; must be willing to work night shift - Preference given to candidates with extensive travel experience - Every other weekend required - **Additional Information:** - Flexibility in scheduling is a priority for the hiring manager - Travelers are involved in scheduling and not just filling gaps - We accept a wide variety of cases except for trauma and burns **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
