Job Title: Perfusionist Profession: Perfusionist Specialty: Perfusionist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 years License: Missouri License required; pending license will be considered Certifications: BLS, CCP - Certified Clinical Perfusionist Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience required - Call required - Experience with level 1 teaching hospital Description: Two years of experience required. Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are required. Candidates must have a Missouri state license; pending applicants will be considered. Call duty is a requirement of this position. Experience in a level 1 teaching hospital is mandatory. Candidates should have exposure to medically complex patients, including those with end-stage renal disease, low ejection fraction, and heart failure. Familiarity with aortic dissections and aneurysms is necessary. Experience with total aortic arch and hemi arch work, liver transplant, and VV bypass is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable using cell savers and managing adult congenital cases. Skills in acid-base management, adequacy of perfusion, and cardiac surgery procedures are essential. Knowledge of extracorporeal life support (ECLS), ECMO, and patient monitoring is required. Ability to set up and prime equipment is necessary. Experience with organ transplantation techniques is desirable. Candidates will work with complex procedures and be expected to manage various cardiac interventions effectively.
