Job Title: Perfusionist Profession: Perfusionist Specialty: Perfusionist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Licensed Perfusionist or license pending Certifications: Certified by The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion, BLS Must-Have: Completion of a formal training program in Extracorporeal Technology Ability to conduct adult cardiopulmonary bypass Experience with ventricular assist support, intra-aortic balloon pump support, and extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation Competence in performing auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, and hemofiltration including acute dialysis Experience operating various blood analyzers and ex-vivo organ systems Description: This position is for a Perfusionist responsible for various critical tasks. Clinicians in this role will conduct adult cardiopulmonary bypass. They will provide ventricular assist support and intra-aortic balloon pump support. This role also involves conducting extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation. Additionally, perfusionists will perform auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, and hemofiltration, including acute dialysis. Operating various blood analyzers and ex-vivo organ systems is also required. The position may include assignment to an Emergency Team with expectations to stay during emergencies. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience. This role is open to first-time travelers.
