Travel Perfusionist - $6,044 per week in New Orleans, LA

Job Title: Perfusionist Profession: Perfusionist Specialty: Perfusionist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Current license as a Perfusionist required Certifications: Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion required Must-Have: Completion of a formal training program in Extracorporeal Technology required. Must have current license in hand at time of submission. Description: This role involves conducting adult cardiopulmonary bypass. The perfusionist provides ventricular assist support and intra-aortic balloon pump support. Responsibilities also include conducting extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). You will perform auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, and hemofiltration including acute dialysis. Operating various blood analyzers and ex-vivo organ systems is also required. The unit may require assignment to an emergency team, where you would stay at the facility until after an event passes. Specific details regarding pay for emergency events will be communicated as they arise. This role requires availability for call on weekdays and weekends in rotation. References from two managers or supervisors will be required for clearance prior to starting the contract. Please ensure compliance with the licensing process, which may take two to four months.
