Job Summary
A Perfusionist position is available at a Level I trauma center providing acute care services in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves supporting complex cardiovascular procedures within an established healthcare organization, contributing to patient care and operational excellence in a dynamic environment.

Job Details

• Position: Perfusionist
• Shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Days)
• Schedule: 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Experience Requirements: 4 or more years of clinical perfusion experience preferred; 0 years minimum experience required
• Certifications: State license, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Certification (CCP) required
• Weekend & Call: Weekend call rotation approximately every 5th weekend with possible holiday coverage; on-call required as needed and as per schedule requests discussed with the manager
• Travel Experience: Not required
• Required Skills: Acid-Base Management, Adequacy of Perfusion, Adult Respiratory/Cardiac Arrest, Anticoagulation, Aortic Valve Replacement, Aorto-bicaval cannulation, Ascending Aorta Cannulation, Autologous Blood Salvage, Blood Conservation Techniques, Cardioplegia, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Extra Corporeal Life Support (ECLS), Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Initiation of Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB), Management of Power Failure, Systemic Hypothermia, Temperature Management, and more relevant to advanced perfusion procedures.
• Unit Details: Staffing and scheduling support as per job requirements, including support for interdisciplinary collaboration and specific procedures related to adult cardiac care.
• Orientation: 8 hours, virtual, at-home orientation on Day 1, with modules to be completed by 4:00 PM CST.

Candidates must be pre-closed at the time of submission, review job details with the traveler, confirm understanding of role requirements, ensure housing arrangements are in place or can be secured, and provide SSN and DOB. Submission must include 2-3 interview availability windows, with confirmation of RTO and start date. Candidate must be willing to work two of the three major holidays. Floating across hospital units or to affiliate facilities may be required; local candidates are accepted except for OR RN roles, which require residence at least 50 miles from the facility. All licensing, compliance, and background check requirements must be completed promptly.
