Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, with potential night and weekend hours as needed for ECMO coverage | Start Time: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Guaranteed Hours: 30–40 per week

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively conduct cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), minimizing risks associated with extracorporeal circulation
• Assemble and operate extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and ventricular assist devices (VAD)
• Operate autotransfusion devices to minimize total blood loss during cardiac and other surgical procedures
• Apply extra-corporeal circulation to support vascular procedures
• Perform point-of-care (POC) testing and interpret results to guide the conduct of CPB
• Perform routine maintenance on all perfusion-related equipment

Required Qualifications

• Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of perfusion experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion Science or related field required
• Proficiency operating perfusion-related equipment
• Ability to work with cardiac surgery patient population in an OR/CVOR environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Master's Degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion Science preferred
• Experience with ECMO management and VAD support
• Familiarity with Epic EMR system
