ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Clinic OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in State College, Pennsylvania.

Registered Nurse Position

Schedule

This position requires 8-hour shifts from 0615 to 1445, Monday through Friday. No weekends, holidays, or call duties are expected.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will assess and respond to the individual physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients through personal observation and interaction, acting as a patient advocate while providing high-quality nursing care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and utilize professional nursing skills to implement care plans.
  • Communicate assessments and coordinate patient care with the healthcare team.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic measures such as labs, radiology, and EKG; Administer IV therapy.
  • Accurately transcribe and implement physician orders; ensure timely admissions to the surgical center.
  • Document patient clinical records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide education and instruction to patients and their families.
  • Manage supplies in accordance with policy and control costs without compromising care.
  • Assist with housekeeping duties as needed for patient comfort.
  • When in PACU, assess patient needs, maintain airways, monitor vital signs, and manage pain control.
  • Follow proper procedures for patient transfers to the medical center.
  • Float between units as needed, supporting staff and maintaining communication.
  • Work in pain management and eye laser procedure rooms as assigned.
  • Assist with emergency supplies and medication knowledge for critical situations.
  • Participate in committee meetings and contribute to process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Candidates must possess a valid RN license and relevant nursing experience to ensure competency in clinical practices.
