Job Title: Pharmacist Inpatient Profession: Pharmacy Specialty: Pharmacist Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: State license required Certifications: CPhT preferred Must-Have: - Controlled substance documentation requirements - Controlled substance transfer regulations - Formulary approved product list - Knowledge of generic/brand names of pharmaceuticals - Understanding of high-alert medications - Experience in inpatient/acute care - Familiarity with look alike/sound alike drugs - Proficiency in ordering and receiving processes - Knowledge of medication storage and management - Understanding of routes of administration Description: It is a variable start time, either 6 AM or 12 PM, with 8-hour shifts. First-timers are accepted. Weekend requirements depend on departmental needs. Travelers must be willing to float between units as needed. Local candidates are accepted. Pending licenses are not accepted. Time off requests must be included at the time of application. Travelers must be willing to work two of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Prior experience in acute hospital settings is preferred, but candidates with retail pharmacy experience may be considered. References are required covering at least one year of experience within the last three years. Travelers must adhere to all compliance policies and may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Communication devices may be supplied as needed for the role. Candidates should explore housing options in the area as availability may be limited. Modules are non-billable and are to be completed prior to starting work.
