Job Opportunity – Pharmacist, Outpatient Infusion – Hood River, OR 97031

Start Date: August 10, 2026

Location: Hood River, Oregon

Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:00), block scheduling required. No weekends, no on-call, no floating between units. 13-week assignment through November 9, 2026.

Highlights:
  • Dedicated outpatient infusion pharmacy role with focus on oncology patient care at a 25-bed Critical Access/Level III Trauma Center
  • Reduced non-billable orientation – 0 hours versus standard 40 hours
  • Manageable patient ratios of 1:20 in a supportive interdisciplinary environment
  • Epic charting system with comprehensive pharmacy support services
  • Work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations in a teaching hospital environment
  • No weekend coverage required; predictable block schedule
Requirements:
  • Active Oregon Pharmacist License required at time of submission
  • Minimum 1 year of dedicated outpatient infusion pharmacy experience required
  • Oncology patient care experience required
  • Chemotherapy/hazardous drug certification required
  • Experience with order verification of hazardous and non-hazardous infusion medications, including oncology
  • Proficiency in IV infusion compounding product evaluation and verification
  • Experience with treatment plan evaluation, insurance verification, patient education, and adverse reaction management
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Pyxis experience preferred
  • Must provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
