Job Title: Pharmacist - Oncology Clinic Profession: Pharmacist Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days M-F Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 year License: CO Pharmacist required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Oncology experience (>1 year) in dedicated oncology role (Outpatient clinic or Inpatient specialist) Description: The role involves working independently in an outpatient oncology infusion clinic. Use Epic to verify orders for oncology medications. Answer provider and patient questions on chemotherapy regimens. Check the work of technicians compounding sterile hazardous and non-hazardous infusions. Perform therapy/treatment plan entry and review in Epic. The position reports to the pharmacy clinical manager with dotted line support to the oncology clinic leadership. You will work with one dedicated oncology pharmacy technician. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4 PM. There are no weekend or holiday requirements. There is no on-call requirement for this role. The medication dispensing system operates through Epic. The position requires wearing scrubs, with facility-provided scrubs to be worn in the cleanroom. The pharmacist will be the sole pharmacist working in the oncology clinic. Minor disease-specific clinical support will be available on-site. Competence and independence in oncology pharmacy practice are essential for success in this role.
