Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX. This role involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services. As a Pharmacist, you'll be pivotal in managing patient medications and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist

Accept and dispense prescription medications
Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law
Verify medicines prescribed to patients are suitable
Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients
Advise patients about medicines, including reactions and questions
Provide consultation on medications for storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
Offer patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management
Educate patients on medical device handling
Compound medications for external or internal use
Prepare sterile solutions following procedures
Supervise pharmacy staff
Maintain appropriate inventory on pharmaceutical and medical supplies
Identify drug-related problems and communicate with healthcare practitioners
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, and pharmacy interns

Requirements of the Pharmacist

Texas State Board Pharmacist License
Doctor of Pharmacy degree
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Front end and Backend Pharmacist Verification
IV certified
Excellent IT troubleshooting skills
