Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX. This role involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services. As a Pharmacist, you'll be pivotal in managing patient medications and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist
  • Accept and dispense prescription medications
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
  • Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law
  • Verify medicines prescribed to patients are suitable
  • Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients
  • Advise patients about medicines, including reactions and questions
  • Provide consultation on medications for storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
  • Offer patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management
  • Educate patients on medical device handling
  • Compound medications for external or internal use
  • Prepare sterile solutions following procedures
  • Supervise pharmacy staff
  • Maintain appropriate inventory on pharmaceutical and medical supplies
  • Identify drug-related problems and communicate with healthcare practitioners
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, and pharmacy interns

Requirements of the Pharmacist
  • Texas State Board Pharmacist License
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Front end and Backend Pharmacist Verification
  • IV certified
  • Excellent IT troubleshooting skills
