The Pharmacist is responsible for providing a comprehensive pharmacy and medication management service to patients. The role ensures a consistent level of service in accordance with established policies. Direct patient care and services are provided to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric patients. This position requires working rotational shifts: day, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays. The role provides opportunities for career advancement through tier levels of Pharmacist to Advanced Practice Pharmacist as determined by pharmacy experience. The Advanced Practice Pharmacist serves as a clinical pharmacist for direct clinical pharmacy services for inpatient and outpatient departments. In addition to the responsibilities of Advanced Practice Pharmacist I, Advanced Practice Pharmacist II is responsible for all specialized pharmacy-based clinics. This role involves providing ongoing analysis of clinical services to develop programs that reflect the highest quality of care. Responsibilities also include the administration of policies and procedures and directing programs and activities in accordance with organizational mission and values. The incumbent serves as the Clinic Manager of Operations and provides technical and administrative supervision. This includes overseeing professional and non-professional employees, such as Advanced Practice I, Staff Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants, and Pharmacy Billers. The organization serves a diverse community and provides a wide range of services, including comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services. Staffing includes a variety of medical providers such as surgeons, general medical officers, internists, pediatricians, family practice physicians, obstetricians, and various specialists. Nursing staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, community health nurses, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and community health medics. Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to the start of the position.
