The role involves processing prescriptions in a timely manner while adhering to policies and regulations concerning controlled substances. Pharmacists must be able to counsel patients effectively and possess current knowledge of medications. The pharmacy provides healthcare services to an underserved population. This position includes opportunities for professional growth and involvement in community outreach initiatives. Pharmacy staff engage in preceptorship of pharmacy interns and local high school students interested in pharmacy or healthcare.
