Travel Pharmacist - $3,448 per week in Jamaica, NY

Job Title: Pharmacist Profession: Pharmacy Specialty: - Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Hours per Shift: 7 hours Experience: One year of Pharmacist experience License: Valid license to practice as a Pharmacist Certifications: Primary Source Verification required Must-Have: - Clinical consultation - Prescription review - Drug therapy monitoring - Billing procedures Description: Client Outpatient Pharmacist duties include reviewing patient prescriptions and profiles for accuracy and appropriateness. Fill all prescriptions in accordance with established policies and procedures and state law. Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, and allergies. Communicate with providers to clarify prescriptions. Provide clinical consultation and clarification with cost-effective and therapeutic alternatives. Familiar with billing procedures and third-party contracts. Supervise pharmacy technicians. Provide medication counseling to patients and caregivers. Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems is preferred. Sterile processing and IV room experience are preferred. Knowledge of an electronic medical records system is preferred. Experience with high volume prescriptions in a retail pharmacy setting is an advantage. Familiarity with ambulatory orders and inventory management is beneficial. This position does not require IV compounding or IV room workflow.
