Shifts: Varying shifts - could be 6:00am-2:30pm, 7:00am-3:30pm, 8:00am-4:30pm, 11:00am-7pm, and/or 3:00pm-11pm

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist

• Prepare and dispense drug orders per physician requests and established protocols
• Maintain accurate patient drug records and ensure compliance with applicable laws
• Manage controlled substances and ensure efficient services
• Supervise pharmacy support personnel and verify pharmacy technicians' activities
• Provide ambulatory care services, manage drug therapy, and provide patient education
• Monitor drug therapy regimens and provide clinical consultation
• Participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities

Requirements of the Pharmacist

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (preferred) or BS Pharmacy degree (accepted)
• Must have state licensure (LA license required)
• Hospital experience preferred
• BLS or ACLS certification via AHA
